Dont change Suzuka!

October 03rd, 2009 | Category: RACING

This is a new f1 driver for Red Bull Torro Rosso, J. Alguersuari. He went off and crashed @ a corner called Dergner in Suzuka during qualifying and commented this after the session. A few other drivers also said they need more run off area.

“You need to brake a little bit and stay in sixth gear – it’s a really fast corner, much faster than it looks,” said Alguersuari. “And when you take a bit of kerb the car gets very unstable.

“Perhaps they should change the kerbs for next year as this is not one of the best tracks for safety in the world.

“You carry a lot more corner speed in these cars than you did in 2006. With the slick tyres it’s crazy how fast you can be mid-corner. And there is no run-off here, the wall is quite near to the track.”

The first sector has been revised with new asphalt and tarmac run off area. To me I feel it already took off some of the thrill for the first sector which is a shame. Come on, it has to stay old style! I race in Suzuka all the time so, Degner is awesome corner! Im just thinking their comment are WRONG! Ok! its  because of comments like these that our race tracks become boring, sure safety is imporatant but just leave Suzuka as it is, dont ask to add anything, its one of the best tracks in the world that still requires more skills and not much room for a mistake, so perhaps, dont go on the inside curb and get the corner right! Sorry, Im not a fan of all these new tracks with tons of run off area where you can do what you want, this is real challenge so be on it!!

Ayrton

October 03rd, 2009 | Category: ANDRE Private, RACING

Im back home now for a 2 weeks break, going thru piled up old stuff  and look what I found…. An autograph of Ayrton Senna! That meant so much to me when I was I kid and yes, it still does! He was my true hero and still is, I keep watching video clips of his best moments and interviews. That man had so much charisma and dedication to our sport, its emotional to see. Its so inspiring and great to motivate yourself seeing somebody  like this. We’ll never forget you Ayrton!IMG_8042
