simple life
Training, eating, napping, playing, sunbathing, swiming, relaxing, taking care of the house, mowing the lawn, looking at the cows, enjoying the summer and most importantly, enjoying time with my family! … Very simple but not to bad after all for a break form our big city, Tokyo!

E-MAT
Here it is the brand new blog of my good friend & partner Eiji! He is the one making my little clothing project happen. Had a good time hanging out with him in Bali 10 days ago!
I always thought his perception of life is very interesting! Now you can check it out here!
No commentsRowing
After another pleasant 80km bike tour with the local cycling club in the morning, I went rowing again this afternoon, I actually never really liked to do it (was always my father’s big thing), I mean you can picture the boring movement back and forward is not so exiting for a extreme sports guy like me… But since i can use my dad’s high tech boat I have to admit that its not that bad… I’m getting into it, the boat is way better, faster and lighter then what I used in the past. So when you do it well and get a good balance, the boat is going fast and you get some nice sensations.
Cycling in Belgium
What a great ride today! Was out cycling with my homey from childhood, Nicolas a.k.a ENORME! We went around some nice, small old villages. Made me realize how nice and natural europe is by the way! The weather was perfect, the country side’s colors reflecting beautifully with the evening sun. Feelinnn gooood!
@ the Grand place in Brussels
This is one of the most beautiful square in Belgium and in the world, went there with my dad today to sit on a nice terrace and enjoy the summer.
The Grand Place is the central market square of Brussels. It is surrounded by guildhouses, the city’s Town Hall, and the Bread House (Maison du Roi). The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels next to the Atomium and Manneken Pis.

Rowing with my das’s precious racing boat
My dad always likes to take me rowing, its not something I love to do but its nice, outdoor and its a great training for my racing. Today was the first time he let me row on his competition boat, its full carbon & super light (14kg). Its also very sensitive and precise… Meaning that with any kind of wrong movement, you are swimming in the water before you know it. It happened to me before, not funny!! But today I did really well with it, water was quite, god confident and did a nice session of 16 km on the sunny canal. Will do some more while Im back home.
new RC Helicopter… already crashed… :-(
Today I bought myself a RC helicopter, I like these toys and I thought I will give my brain and coordination some new challenge to control this little sophisticated machines. HHmmm…. the thing lasted 30 sec before I crashed it…
I guess I was a bit to self confident on trying to learn by doing…. Ill go back to the shop for repair and buy the PC learning simulator… I think i need it…

when I was a kid I loved remote control toys, specially cars, I will always remember when got my first real one at Christmas back in 1992 or 93…. Was a Tamiya rally car form Carlos Sainz… I proudly build it up myself and played with it for years, tuning it, etc… After that i had many many, changed form electric to gas engines, had the hole setup in the garage and fixed them for hours instead of doing my homework….
I even played a lot later on when I got to japan, living in the country side of Gotemba. Found a crazy shop where they had it all and there was also a on-road track where i improved my skills. Then Benoit Treluyer got into as well and that just made us go stupid with these toys…. Everyday kinda thing, eating very fast to go back to play… We got close to HPI, a great RC car manufacturer, they were realy generous to us, got almost all we wanted and we switched to off road cars, big jeeps and buggies. We found this motocross track which was awesome for us, those things would jump over the big MX tables so easily. After those toys were full of mud we always stoped over at Nakajima’s workshop to dissemble them and clean every single part with some good products form the team. I just can say that Ben’ wife showed a looot of patience….
