Delay for my A1 Grand Prix debut!
As you can read in the following official press release, I wont be racing in NZL and Indonesia.
Off course I’m also disappointed that I can’t be there and race with these fantastic cars in a far away country I have never been in. I really would have loved to be there and represent my country, push real hard and enjoy driving the Ferrari! But it’s ok, I understand the situation, I stay very motivated and as long as I’m part of it for a longer term from the point we start, I am fine with it! Now, my next plans are to go back to Japan at the end of the month for the upcoming Super GT tests in Fuji.
Team Germany have delayed their return to the A1GP series and will not now rejoin the championship until the Gauteng rounds on 22 February
The 2006/2007 champion team have been restructured under new franchise holder Rolf Beisswanger following Willi Weber’s decision to end his involvement with A1GP, and had previously hoped to be ready for the Taupo races in a fortnight.
“I cannot say I am anything other than deeply disappointed at the outcome,” said Beisswanger. “We have been working flat out since I took on the role to get a team together that our country would be proud of.
“However, we shall not be at the next two races so have to make sure when we do make our debut the car will be ready to win. This does give us more time to get the sponsors and partners in place and we have to view season four as the launch pad for a full out assault on the championship in season five.
“My major aim is to wrest back the title the team won in season two and for that we have to be totally prepared.”
Formula Nippon racer and sometime Jaguar Formula One test driver Andre Lotterer will represent Team Germany when they return.
A1GP boss Pete da Silva expressed his disappointment at Germany’s continued absence, but believes the extra time will improve the team’s competitiveness.
“All the necessary ingredients to get the team on track in Taupo did not come together, so there was no other option but to delay the team’s season four debut,” said da Silva.
“On the positive side, we hope the car can cover some test miles so when the team arrives in South Africa it will be able to catch up rapidly.”

Right now I’m in Seefeld for my physical preparation, it’s a real nice town located in Austria, its actually on a plateau at 1200 m above see level, means you are almost always above the clouds. As you can see again today I was in a true winter paradise, Seefeld has bean elected as the world’s best cross country skiing area.
Its the 3rd time I’m on this kind of skis, I know I look like a pro but I’m a beginner actually, I just don’t want reveal the pictures when I have my face in the snow… but I’m picking up the technique and speed real well and enjoy this sport, specially in a environment like this!!!

It was a fantastic day, amazing scenery, bright sunshine! Great to fill yourself up with plenty of energy! When you experience nature like that, you realise that in these places the world is still fine I guess… Walking up to the Potsdamer chalet at 2020m ( www.potsdamer.at ) took just under 2 hours and down with the sledge for 30 min, great fun! bit cold -14 at the top… But it was no problem with good clothes and enough movement.

you only get this extremely tasting dish in the mountains! KAISERSCHMARRN, like pancakes but better…
