Motegi GT Round 7

September 15th, 2008 | Category: RACING

We are definitely collecting the podiums this year! 4 out of 7 in GT and the same in FN.

Don’t have much to report from Motegi other than thank the team for their great job! The car setup was really good considering our 50kg handicap weight and the pitstop was amazing! We had a good speed during the whole weekend and collected some important points!

We are now in the lead of the drivers and team championships , 2 more races to go!

Next race will be tough as we will have to carry 70 kg handicap weight, lets hope the others wont do to well and we can fight back for the last round in Fuji.

Past, present and future…

September 15th, 2008 | Category: ANDRE Private

Ok… I know… its been a while since I haven’t showed any signs of life on my Blog but don’t worry!! Its not cause I’m lazy or tired of writing… Its just simply that I have been really busy recently and had to set my priorities.

My trainer Helmut is still here, we have been doing a lot of training and also experience great moments during the last 4 weeks.

Power climb to the Mt Fuji.

September 10th, 2008 | Category: ANDRE Private

As we really enjoyed our first climb to the Mt. Fuji we planed to do it again for a great training session and go for a first record attempt before it gets to cold!

This time it was without the bikes and we did the climb in 2h07 min. Witch is a good time I think. But for sure we are confident to go under the 2 hours next time.

We had a clear view all the way, was fantastic!

Next day we did a easy recovery session up to the 5th station with the bikes.

Great satisfaction again!!

I can’t wait to go up there with the new bike I ordered!

It’s the top bike out on the market! Best of the best!!

Super strong, super light and a killer look!!

Climbing Mt Fuji from the very bottom!

September 03rd, 2008 | Category: ANDRE Private

I finally did it!! Hehe…After 6 years in Japan I made it to get myself to the roof of Japan, Mt Fuji ( 3776m ).

Have to thank Helmut for that… Always better when somebody supports you and motivates you for great challenges!

I gave Ben a call and he was interested as well so it was great to go up there with 2 persons I really appreciate!

The thing I’m really proud of is that we did it from the very bottom starting with our bicycles from the beginning of the Subaru line all the way until the 5th station where the road ends (30km – 1500 high meters- 1h40 )

Unfortunately Ben couldn’t do the same for the simple and only reason, he didn’t have a proper racing bike….Our bikes are not the lightest either but at least we have click pedals.

But in a way it was good cause he supported us with his professional assistance by car. Was good to change wear at the top and avoid the descent after the climb.

When we got a the 5th station I was very foggy and it didn’t look good, we decided to have a little food break and give it some time. The conditions didn’t changed and we finally started the ascension off the famous Mt. Fuji with our brand new equipment we enjoyed to buy…

As we went up the sky suddenly cleared up the higher we got and we were so happy to see the top!

Once we got at the top we made a lap of the crater and made a illegal clib all the way up to the wther station tower. So we were official higher the then the highest registered point… wicked!!

Was a great experience to be up there, the sun was shining, the view over the clouds was priceless and the mysterious colors inside the crater were a first as well for me!

All in all I recommend this experience to everybody! After the bike ride it was tough so we went up on a controlled pace and took 2h30. Great satisfaction on top!!

We were so fascinated and exited about it that we planed to do it again a week later!!
